Welcome to Girl Mina

One of the unique attractions of Orkney underwater is the German High Seas Fleet, scuttled in the huge natural harbour of Scapa Flow, after its surrender to the British by its German crews on 21st June 1919.

This last act of German defiance deprived Britain of its prize but has preserved for modern divers an unparalled collection of WW1 battleships, amongst many other wrecks lying at depths of between twelve and forty-five metres. Orkney is also famous for its wildlife including puffins, seals and dolphins.

"Terry Todd, himself one of the legends of Scapa Flow, who ran the dive boat Girl Mina...."
